What will you need?

  • 300 gr. of flour

  • 150 gr. of sorghum flour

  • 2 tbsp. of baking powder

  • 1/2 tbsp. of ground cinnamon

  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 1tsp. of salt

  • 75 gr. of sugar

  • more or less 750ml. of milk

  • 100 gr. of grated coconut

  • more or less 1/2 tbsp of butter

How to prepare this Bonairean recipe?

Mix the flour, the sorghum flour, the baking powder, sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl, and make a well in the center

Add half the milk, vanilla extract and 1 tbsp melted butter.

Stir in the milk until a thick liquid batter

Stir well and try to avoid lumps :)

Finally stir the coconut into the batter.

Grease skillet or griddle with oil or butter, use low heat.

Add one spoon batter into the skillet and cook gently.

If the top becomes dry and the bottom light brown reverse the repa.

Serve with tamarind jam or honey.
